Course Progression
The Think and Design program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to explore pathways in the Agriculture and Engineering career fields.
Our teachers and community partners focus on providing students a unique experience that infuses the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning, problem-solving skills, general employability skills, and high-tech skills, needed to thrive in a future focused job market.

6th grade THINK (Agriculture) semester:
Students explore foundational concepts in Agriscience, including plant and animal science, food science, natural resources, and leadership skills. THINK focuses on hands-on projects, problem-solving, and collaboration to develop agricultural knowledge and real-world skills. THINK is the certified Agriscience course in the program. -
7th & 8th grade DESIGN (Engineering) semester:
Students apply their knowledge to engineering challenges, designing and building structures such as roller coasters, floats, skyscrapers, and bridges. DESIGN emphasizes teamwork, communication, advanced problem-solving, and project management. - 8th grade THINK2 (Certified Agriscience) year-long:
Students expand on concepts in Agriscience, including plant and animal science, food science, natural resources, and leadership skills. THINK2 continues hands-on projects, problem-solving, and collaboration to develop agricultural knowledge and real-world skills while preparing students for their Agriculture Associate Certification.
